ABOUT THIS VACANCY

For our client we are recruiting an International Account Manager. For a international and commercial role within a unique organization in the world of medical equipment and medicines. You are responsible for customers and prospects in Europe and Africa. When you are based in the United Kingdom or Africa relocation to the Netherlands is not necessary. You will report directly to the board in the Netherlands.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for strengthening existing customer accounts and new sales in Europe and Africa. Your contacts range from purchasers at international aid organizations to ministries of several countries, particularly in Africa. Hence, travelling is an essential part of your work. Besides customer relation management and visiting customers and prospects you will be preparing bids, RFP’s and working on international tenders. You collaborate closely with your colleagues from the Sales Support department and will report directly to the board.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You are ready to make a 2nd or 3rd step in your career. You have a Master or a Bachelor degree, preferably in commerce or economics, and a minimum of three years relevant work experience in an international business environment. Experience in international tenders is preferred, as are excellent Dutch and English language skills. French is an advantage. Empathic, strong communicative and social skills. You have broad interest in people and cultures, a possess a healthy dose of courage, humour and ambition and a great sense of responsibility. In addition, you are perseverant and focus on results.
